Fol­low­ing our win in Europan 13 in 2015 we devel­oped a mas­ter­plan for Bergs Gård in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Nac­ka Munic­i­pal­i­ty. The oil har­bor will even­tu­al­ly leave room for 2000 new hous­ing units, preschools, ser­vices and sports facil­i­ties. Our plan seeks to pro­tect the parts of the arch­i­pel­ago land­scape left untouched by the oil har­bor and devel­op a dense struc­ture on already claimed land that han­dles the dra­mat­ic topog­ra­phy in a sen­si­tive man­ner. The built fab­ric has been arranged in order to opti­mize sun con­di­tions and wind pro­tec­tion on a very exposed site.

The project was devel­oped in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Nac­ka Kom­mun with help from Urbio, Måns Tham Arkitek­tkon­tor and Klas Tham. After a court set­tle­ment in 2018 regard­ing the lease on land the project was post­poned until 2036.
