In an idyllic apple orchard below a high-quality modernist villa in Mälarhöjden, a guest house in the form of an two small complementary buidlings placed at an angle around a shared courtyard. The form mirrors the main building, which also surrounds a sheltered outdoor patio. The new buildings are oriented away from the main building, thereby creating their own context.

Both buildings have simple floor plans. The main house has a kitchen and bathroom placed along each gable, with a loft above the bathroom. The smaller building consists of an open room with built-in storage along one gable wall. The room is intended to be used as a workspace or an extra bedroom.

The house is constructed with timber framing on a concrete slab. The façade is clad in vertical and horizontal wood paneling made of spruce or larch. Windows and sections are made of wood, and the roof is covered with galvanized sinus-corrugated steel. The outdoor patio is paved with natural stone, except for the northern part, which is left for planting. The patio is framed with an open wooden trellis that ties the entire composition together and creates a subtle boundary between the patio and the rest of the garden. To the north, the trellis is covered with metal mesh, allowing plants to climb.
